"Muddy marshes" , could be the key to decrease carbon in the air ,which means stopping global warming. But , how do muddy marshes have the ability to store the carbon in the air?. Well , when the plants that are over there die, they decompose, still they don't let out the carbon. In contrast, other plants release all of the carbon stored in them into the air. The more water that goes on the marsh, the better it will store the carbon, because when it washes over ,then it gets a new layer to keep more carbon and keep the one that is already there stored. There are also some threats to these marshes, like sea walls, which stops the marshes from adjusting to how high the sea level is, which also means that it can't store as much carbon , if people stop putting up sea walls , then it will be great for the marshes. It can also be great for the environment. The reason for this is that if it can reduce global warming , then it could mean cleaner air , preserving cor
